When it takes eight throws (with berries) to catch a 2* 'reward' Pokemon, you know the creators don't care about the consumer. Nowadays this game seems designed to bring your Pokeball count down so you either spin 2-3 stops to catch a single Pokemon or you pay for more items. Such a shame. There's still plenty to do; raids, max battles, PVP etc but, with a bit more care for the players, this game could be much more enjoyable. Catch rates are shocking and honestly not worth the ratings you get.

I have played since day one, and will likely keep the game on my phone for the rest of it's days. There has always been the expected growing pains for an app and definitely more than a few infernal bellsprouts who just won't stay in the ****** ball, but what a world they've put together for everyone here. I get postcards from places I'll never see, it's created conversation out of thin air, countless times, and its something our whole family spends time bonding over. 5 stars forever.

It's come a loooooong way since it's glitchy & limited 1st gen days, but there's still a lot more work to be done. PVP needs a balancing overhaul, prices have almost doubled on everything, and it seems like the pokemon have become harder to catch. Part of me only continues to play because of all the time & money I've dumped into this game over the years, but at least it's an extra way for me and my girlfriend to bond. That, and it DOES still encourage outdoor exercise, despite how greedy it is.
